Hi, I’m Stacey, the face behind The Fantasy Wordslinger.
I’m a fantasy fiction developmental and line editor, as well as a creative writer and fantasy fiction author.
I am a member of the CIEP (Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading), and come from a marketing background, in particular, copywriting.
I have studied creative writing and have a solid understanding and appreciation not only for the art, but story structure including plot, pacing, and character development. I have a Level 4 Diploma (distinction) for both copywriting and creative writing.
On a more personal level, I’m a huge fantasy nerd — yeah, that picture is me. I love all things fiction and all things fantasy; from books and films to role-playing games and tabletop.
I have a soft-spot for morally grey characters and dystopian/apocalyptic settings. Some would say my taste lays in grimdark, others dark fantasy. But to be honest, if there’s swords and shields, I’m usually pretty happy.
